SAPA TOUR 1 DAY WITH BAC HA MARKET - EVERY SUNDAY

The Bac Ha Market is one of the largest and most colorful markets in the northwest region of Vietnam, and it is open only on Sundays. Located about 110 km from Sapa (approximately 2.5 hours by bus), this unique cultural experience is truly worth the journey.

Your tour includes an experienced local guide who will be available to assist you throughout the day. You’ll have about 2 hours of free time to explore the vibrant market at your own pace.

The Bac Ha Market is a lively gathering place for various ethnic minority tribes, including the Flower H’Mong, Dzao, Tay, Nung, and Phu La, who come to trade and sell their goods. The market is well-known for its handcrafted products, a variety of local wines, and traditional dishes such as Thắng Cố Ngựa (Horse Stew). It’s also famous for the animal trade, where you can see horses, dogs, birds, snakes, goats, and especially water buffalo.

After exploring and shopping at the market, you will enjoy lunch in Bac Ha before visiting a Black H’Mong village nearby. Spend about 30 minutes learning about the unique culture and lifestyle of this ethnic community.

On your return to Sapa, you will pass through Lao Cai City, near the China border, an important hub for trade and shipping. You will also visit a small local pagoda, where locals come to pray for their ancestors and families.

The tour ends with your transfer back to Sapa .
